Chris Hemsworth in talks for racing biopic Rush

*Chris Hemsworth has entered negotiations to play British racer James
Hunt in Formula One biopic _Rush_.*

A ‘70s-set racing drama penned by _The Queen_’s Peter
Morgan, _Rush_ follows the rivalry between Hunt and three-time
champion Niki Lauda.

Hemsworth has apparently spied the role as a possible lay-by on the
way to _Thor 2_, which has been scheduled to hit cinemas in July 2013.

The Aussie actor could do worse than getting out of the fantasy
fast-lane – he’s also signed on to _Snow White And The
Huntsma_n, meaning a grunt-level racing biopic could be just the
ticket for some credibility in the drama stakes.

Director Ron Howard is currently considering taking on _Rush_ as his
next directing gig. No doubt his commitment to the project will depend
on where he stands with the epic _Dark Tower_ adaptation.
