Begley, who has worked in acquisitions at Magnolia for more than four years, will oversee the acquisition of new product for Magnolia, Magnet Releasing, Magnolia Home Entertainment and Magnolia International across all of their distribution platforms, taking over those duties from Quinn. Cowal, who has been with the company since 2007, oversees all marketing and publicity efforts for Magnolia and Magnet. He and Begley will collaborate closely together under Magnolia president Eamonn Bowles. Magnolia, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, also is establishing a Los Angeles presence for its acquisitions team as director of acquisitions Peter Van Steemberg relocates to L.A. from New York. Magnolia's core exec team also includes head of business and legal affairs Chris Matson, head of distribution Neal Block and head of international sales Laird Adamson. "I am delighted to be promoting Dori Begley to SVP of acquisitions, a position that she richly deserves. Dori has proven herself to be exceptional at sourcing films for Magnolia's traditional theatrical releases, as well as our Ultra VOD program-the machinery of which remains completely intact and continues to be the gold standard in cross-platform digital distribution. Likewise I'm incredibly pleased to be promoting Matt Cowal to SVP of marketing and publicity. Matt has been integral to our ongoing success across all platforms over the last few years. Everyone at Magnolia thanks Tom Quinn for his many contributions to the company and wish him the best in his new endeavors," Bowles said. Related Topics
